PTC India Gains 8%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.3%

PTC India share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 236.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,256.8 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are TORRENT POWER (up 1.9%) and INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (up 1.4%).

ADANI POWER (down 2.1%) and ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PTC India has moved up from Rs 154.1 to Rs 236.1, registering a gain of Rs 82.1 (up 53.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,776.1 to 8,256.8, registering a gain of 72.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 144.9%), BHEL (up 89.6%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 76.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,876.0 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (down 1.3%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,364.8 (down 0.1%). SBI LIFE INSURANCE and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,127.1 to 82,876.0, registering a gain of 15,749.0 points (up 23.5%).

PTC India Financial Update...

PTC India net profit grew 20.1% YoY to Rs 1,494 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,244 million a year ago. Net sales declined 1.5% to Rs 46,856 million during the period as against Rs 47,583 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, PTC India reported 8.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 5,072 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,517 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 5.3% to Rs 159,706 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PTC India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 12.9.
