CG Power & Industrial Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.7%

CG Power & Industrial share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 721.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,956.3 (up 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are BHEL (up 2.5%) and ABB (up 2.3%).

Lakshmi Machine (down 1.4%) and V GUARD IND. (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 450.4 to Rs 721.7, registering a gain of Rs 271.3 (up 60.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,746.4 to 71,956.3, registering a gain of 50.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 126.3%), Bharat Electronics (up 101.0%) and BHEL (up 89.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,716.9 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 1.5%) and Kotak Bank (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,011.2 (up 0.4%). Bajaj Auto and Shriram Transport are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,127.1 to 81,716.9, registering a gain of 14,589.8 points (up 21.7%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit grew 22.4% YoY to Rs 2,412 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,971 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.9% to Rs 22,275 million during the period as against Rs 18,740 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 120.5.
