KSB Plunges 3%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.9%

KSB share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 867.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,493.8 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Electronics (down 2.0%) and V GUARD IND. (down 1.8%).

Honeywell Automation (up 0.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, KSB has moved up from Rs 553.2 to Rs 867.0, registering a gain of Rs 313.8 (up 56.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 45,901.9 to 70,493.8, registering a gain of 53.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 134.7%), Bharat Electronics (up 99.1%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 91.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,005.2 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 1.8%) and Tata Steel (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,755.7 (down 0.4%). ONGC and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,780.3 to 81,005.2, registering a gain of 15,225.0 points (up 23.1%).

KSB Financial Update...

KSB net profit grew 6.8% YoY to Rs 642 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 601 million a year ago. Net sales rose 9.3% to Rs 6,460 million during the period as against Rs 5,913 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended December 2023, KSB reported 14.2% increase in net profit to Rs 2,087 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,827 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 23.3% to Rs 22,472 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of KSB, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 73.2.
