HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 320.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,086.0 (down 1.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (down 2.9%) and Hindalco (down 2.5%).

Tata Steel (up 0.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 151.8 to Rs 320.7, registering a gain of Rs 168.9 (up 111.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,596.4 to 32,086.0, registering a gain of 48.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 126.6%), Vedanta (up 95.3%) and NMDC (up 76.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,565.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (up 3.2%) and HCl Tech. (up 3.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,277.9 (up 0.2%). Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,075.8 to 82,565.5, registering a gain of 17,489.7 points (up 26.9%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 139.8% YoY to Rs 1,134 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 473 million a year ago. Net sales rose 33.1% to Rs 4,936 million during the period as against Rs 3,709 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 21.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2,953 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,741 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.9% to Rs 16,773 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 85.7.
