POKARNA Gains 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 0.4%

POKARNA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 916.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,374.9 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are APOLLO TUBES (up 0.6%) and Vedanta (up 0.4%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 1.6%) and Hindalco (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, POKARNA has moved up from Rs 456.3 to Rs 916.6, registering a gain of Rs 460.3 (up 100.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,357.5 to 32,374.9, registering a gain of 51.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 128.9%), Vedanta (up 96.3%) and NMDC (up 85.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,826.9 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (up 0.6%) and Hindustan Unilever (up 0.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,054.3 . Cipla and Bajaj Auto are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,996.6 to 81,826.9, registering a gain of 16,830.3 points (up 25.9%).

POKARNA Financial Update...

POKARNA net profit grew 77.6% YoY to Rs 330 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 186 million a year ago. Net sales rose 19.0% to Rs 1,926 million during the period as against Rs 1,618 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, POKARNA reported 16.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 658 million compared to net profit of Rs 783 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 12.0% to Rs 7,280 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of POKARNA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 27.5.
