GENUS POWER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 466.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,470.1 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (up 1.4%) and Carborundum Universal (up 1.4%).

GRINDWELL NORTON (down 0.7%) and BHEL (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GENUS POWER has moved up from Rs 263.9 to Rs 466.3, registering a gain of Rs 202.4 (up 76.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 44,593.2 to 73,470.1, registering a gain of 64.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 167.4%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 138.5%) and Bharat Electronics (up 122.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,858.3 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (up 0.6%) and HDFC Bank (up 0.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,054.3 . Cipla and Bajaj Auto are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,996.6 to 81,858.3, registering a gain of 16,861.7 points (up 25.9%).

GENUS POWER Financial Update...

GENUS POWER net profit grew 111.7% YoY to Rs 487 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 230 million a year ago. Net sales rose 58.6% to Rs 4,142 million during the period as against Rs 2,611 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, GENUS POWER reported 49.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 296 million compared to net profit of Rs 584 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 18.0% to Rs 8,084 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GENUS POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 111.7.
