APOLLO TUBES Gains 4%; BSE METAL Index Up 0.5%

APOLLO TUBES share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,410.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,137.2 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (up 1.5%) and Tata Steel (up 1.3%).

SAIL (down 0.9%) and Coal India (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, APOLLO TUBES has moved down from Rs 1,535.7 to Rs 1,410.0, registering a loss of Rs 125.7 (down 8.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,267.9 to 32,137.2, registering a gain of 51.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 129.6%), Vedanta (up 95.6%) and NMDC (up 90.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,067.4 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bharti Airtel (up 1.6%) and Titan (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,813.8 (up 0.2%). Grasim Industries and Tata Consumer Products are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,216.1 to 81,067.4, registering a gain of 15,851.3 points (up 24.3%).

APOLLO TUBES Financial Update...

APOLLO TUBES net profit fell 0.2% YoY to Rs 1,932 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,936 million a year ago. Net sales rose 9.4% to Rs 49,743 million during the period as against Rs 45,449 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, APOLLO TUBES reported 3.7% increase in net profit to Rs 6,419 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,190 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 23.8% to Rs 161,660 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of APOLLO TUBES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 53.5.
