Godrej Consumer share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 1,434.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 23,072.0 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Tata Coffee (up 3.6%) and Tata Consumer Products (up 2.2%).

Godfrey Phillips (down 1.0%) and E.I.D. Parry (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Godrej Consumer has moved up from Rs 1,026.6 to Rs 1,434.0, registering a gain of Rs 407.5 (up 39.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,678.9 to 23,072.0, registering a gain of 23.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were BOM.BURMAH (up 159.3%), Godfrey Phillips (up 155.6%) and Colgate (up 80.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,041.1 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bharti Airtel (up 1.6%) and Tata Steel (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,810.1 (up 0.2%). Grasim Industries and Tata Consumer Products are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,216.1 to 81,041.1, registering a gain of 15,825.1 points (up 24.3%).

Godrej Consumer Financial Update...

Godrej Consumer net profit grew 41.4% YoY to Rs 4,507 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,188 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.4% to Rs 33,316 million during the period as against Rs 34,489 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Godrej Consumer reported 132.9% decrease in net profit to Rs -5,606 million compared to net profit of Rs 17,025 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.9% to Rs 140,961 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Godrej Consumer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -342.2.
