Puravankara Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.8%

Puravankara share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 439.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,843.4 (down 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are SUNTECK REALTY (up 1.4%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 1.3%).

DLF (down 2.2%) and Phoenix Mill (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Puravankara has moved up from Rs 96.3 to Rs 439.2, registering a gain of Rs 343.0 (up 356.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,129.5 to 8,843.4, registering a gain of 114.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 288.3%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 244.4%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 158.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,209.9 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 2.2%) and L&T (down 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,501.1 (down 0.3%). Ultratech Cement and Adani Enterprises are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,327.7 to 77,209.9, registering a gain of 13,882.2 points (up 21.9%).

Puravankara Financial Update...

Puravankara net profit grew 22.6% YoY to Rs -53 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 69 million a year ago. Net sales rose 136.5% to Rs 9,200 million during the period as against Rs 3,890 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Puravankara reported 54.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 665 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,476 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 29.4% to Rs 12,358 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Puravankara, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 211.9.
