SKIPPER Gains 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.4%

SKIPPER share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 452.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,099.3 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Thermax (up 2.7%) and Carborundum Universal (up 2.7%).

AIA Engineering (down 1.6%) and Lakshmi Machine (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SKIPPER has moved up from Rs 193.5 to Rs 452.4, registering a gain of Rs 258.8 (up 133.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,641.7 to 73,099.3, registering a gain of 67.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 194.0%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 147.9%) and Bharat Electronics (up 135.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,728.6 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 1.6%) and Tata Steel (down 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,724.2 (up 0.1%). Divis Laboratories and Titan are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,216.1 to 80,728.6, registering a gain of 15,512.5 points (up 23.8%).

SKIPPER Financial Update...

SKIPPER net profit grew 125.3% YoY to Rs 316 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 140 million a year ago. Net sales rose 96.9% to Rs 10,917 million during the period as against Rs 5,546 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SKIPPER reported 41.4% increase in net profit to Rs 356 million compared to net profit of Rs 251 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 16.0% to Rs 19,803 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SKIPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 55.4.
