MAITHAN ALLOYS share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,096.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 30,769.4 (up 1.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindalco (up 2.8%) and SAIL (up 2.6%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 6.1%) and APOLLO TUBES (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, MAITHAN ALLOYS has moved up from Rs 989.1 to Rs 1,096.0, registering a gain of Rs 106.9 (up 10.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,481.0 to 30,769.4, registering a gain of 43.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 116.3%), Vedanta (up 83.1%) and NMDC (up 80.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,719.2 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 2.4%) and Tech Mahindra (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Nestle.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,342.4 (up 0.8%). M&M and Hindalco are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,401.9 to 79,719.2, registering a gain of 14,317.3 points (up 21.9%).

MAITHAN ALLOYS Financial Update...

MAITHAN ALLOYS net profit grew 44.8% YoY to Rs 1,420 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 981 million a year ago. Net sales declined 19.0% to Rs 4,333 million during the period as against Rs 5,347 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, MAITHAN ALLOYS reported 39.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 4,990 million compared to net profit of Rs 8,180 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 3.6% to Rs 28,850 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MAITHAN ALLOYS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.1.
