CYIENT Gains 4%; BSE IT Index Up 0.6%

CYIENT share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,737.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 40,112.7 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are Sonata Software (up 1.5%) and HCl Tech. (up 1.4%).

Eclerx Services (down 3.1%) and ZENSAR TECHNOLOGIES (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CYIENT has moved up from Rs 1,553.6 to Rs 1,737.6, registering a gain of Rs 184.0 (up 11.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved up from 31,218.6 to 40,112.7, registering a gain of 28.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were Oracle Financial Services (up 170.4%), INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 119.9%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 90.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,928.3 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 2.1%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,130.0 . Hero Motocorp and Divis Laboratories are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,401.9 to 78,928.3, registering a gain of 13,526.3 points (up 20.7%).

CYIENT Financial Update...

CYIENT net profit fell 12.7% YoY to Rs 1,476 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,691 million a year ago. Net sales declined 0.6% to Rs 16,757 million during the period as against Rs 16,865 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CYIENT reported 36.6% increase in net profit to Rs 7,028 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,144 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 18.8% to Rs 71,472 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CYIENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 28.3.
