Swelect Energy share price has plunged 14% and is presently trading at Rs 1,033.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,046.6 (down 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are AIA Engineering (down 5.5%) and GMR Infra (down 2.4%).

V GUARD IND. (up 2.9%) and Thermax (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Swelect Energy has moved up from Rs 546.2 to Rs 1,033.0, registering a gain of Rs 486.9 (up 89.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,553.3 to 72,046.6, registering a gain of 65.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 188.5%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 146.3%) and Bharat Electronics (up 125.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,979.5 (down 0.8%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are HDFC Bank (down 3.3%) and Tata Motors (down 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Reliance Ind. and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,131.7 (down 0.9%). BPCL and HDFC Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,995.8 to 78,979.5, registering a gain of 12,983.7 points (up 19.7%).

Swelect Energy Financial Update...

Swelect Energy net profit fell 32.7% YoY to Rs 66 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 98 million a year ago. Net sales rose 105.6% to Rs 1,138 million during the period as against Rs 554 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Swelect Energy reported 87.7% increase in net profit to Rs 536 million compared to net profit of Rs 285 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 1.2% to Rs 2,428 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Swelect Energy, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 28.4.
