HCC Gains 7%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.3%

HCC share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 50.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,851.1 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 6.7%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 3.5%).

Over the last one year, HCC has moved up from Rs 17.4 to Rs 50.8, registering a gain of Rs 33.3 (up 191.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,109.2 to 8,851.1, registering a gain of 115.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 274.0%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 236.3%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 137.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,240.0 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 1.6%) and Bajaj Finance (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,494.2 (down 0.1%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and Sun Pharma are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,168.3 to 77,240.0, registering a gain of 14,071.7 points (up 22.3%).

HCC Financial Update...

HCC net profit grew 14.3% YoY to Rs 2,274 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,990 million a year ago. Net sales declined 26.9% to Rs 17,731 million during the period as against Rs 24,263 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HCC reported 104.7% decrease in net profit to Rs -266 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,717 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.6% to Rs 98,566 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.2.
