National Buildings Gains 8%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.6%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 183.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,991.4 (up 1.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (up 2.7%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 2.7%).

Brigade Enterprises (down 2.5%) and DLF (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 48.1 to Rs 183.3, registering a gain of Rs 135.2 (up 281.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,341.4 to 7,991.4, registering a gain of 84.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 196.8%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 191.6%) and Phoenix Mill (up 97.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,712.1 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 2.9%) and JSW Steel (up 2.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,361.3 (up 1.0%). Eicher Motor and Grasim Industries are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,712.1, registering a gain of 13,758.6 points (up 20.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 79.6.
