Siemens Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 2.9%

Siemens share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 6,805.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,186.5 (up 2.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are BHEL (up 6.2%) and ABB (up 5.6%).

TIMKEN INDIA (down 3.1%) and Carborundum Universal (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Siemens has moved up from Rs 3,833.2 to Rs 6,805.0, registering a gain of Rs 2,971.8 (up 77.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,182.8 to 72,186.5, registering a gain of 67.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 215.9%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 152.9%) and Bharat Electronics (up 134.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,483.5 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 3.6%) and Power Grid Corp. (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,305.7 (up 1.3%). ONGC and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,483.5, registering a gain of 13,530.0 points (up 20.5%).

Siemens Financial Update...

Siemens net profit grew 70.2% YoY to Rs 8,028 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,718 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.4% to Rs 57,499 million during the period as against Rs 48,578 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended September 2023, Siemens reported 55.5% increase in net profit to Rs 19,619 million compared to net profit of Rs 12,619 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.2% to Rs 195,538 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Siemens, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 103.7.
