Bajaj Consumer Care Gains 6%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.5%

Bajaj Consumer Care share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 272.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 22,341.0 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Ruchi Soya Industries (up 4.9%) and JYOTHY LABS (up 3.6%).

Marico (down 3.8%) and GODREJ AGROVET (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Bajaj Consumer Care has moved up from Rs 219.9 to Rs 272.9, registering a gain of Rs 53.0 (up 24.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,868.9 to 22,341.0, registering a gain of 18.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were BOM.BURMAH (up 104.7%), Godfrey Phillips (up 98.2%) and JYOTHY LABS (up 75.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,153.9 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 2.2%) and JSW Steel (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,176.3 (up 0.5%). Tech Mahindra and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,782.8 to 79,153.9, registering a gain of 13,371.1 points (up 20.3%).

Bajaj Consumer Care Financial Update...

Bajaj Consumer Care net profit fell 12.1% YoY to Rs 356 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 405 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.8% to Rs 2,400 million during the period as against Rs 2,494 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Bajaj Consumer Care reported 11.6% increase in net profit to Rs 1,554 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,392 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 2.4% to Rs 9,841 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Bajaj Consumer Care, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.1.
