BAJAJ STEEL Gains 10%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.2%

BAJAJ STEEL share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 2,087.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,265.3 (up 1.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are GMR Infra (up 2.3%) and Finolex Cables (up 2.2%).

Honeywell Automation (down 1.7%) and SKF India (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BAJAJ STEEL has moved up from Rs 1,154.8 to Rs 2,087.0, registering a gain of Rs 932.2 (up 80.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,066.5 to 71,265.3, registering a gain of 65.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 194.4%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 147.9%) and Bharat Electronics (up 134.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,212.8 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (up 2.3%) and JSW Steel (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,176.3 (up 0.5%). Tech Mahindra and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,782.8 to 79,212.8, registering a gain of 13,430.0 points (up 20.4%).

BAJAJ STEEL Financial Update...

BAJAJ STEEL net profit grew 268.3% YoY to Rs 351 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 95 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.9% to Rs 1,410 million during the period as against Rs 980 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, BAJAJ STEEL reported 85.0% increase in net profit to Rs 675 million compared to net profit of Rs 365 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 22.1% to Rs 5,333 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ STEEL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 12.8.
