HIKAL CHEMIC share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 314.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 40,154.0 (down 1.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are Biocon (down 5.9%) and CAPLIN POINT (down 5.8%).

Sun Pharma (up 0.2%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HIKAL CHEMIC has moved up from Rs 290.5 to Rs 314.7, registering a gain of Rs 24.2 (up 8.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 27,644.7 to 40,154.0, registering a gain of 45.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 119.1%), SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 99.0%) and GSK Pharma (up 97.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,477.9 (down 3.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 6.6%) and Tata Steel (down 5.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,914.3 (down 3.3%). Tata Motors and ONGC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,459.3 to 78,477.9, registering a gain of 12,018.6 points (up 18.1%).

HIKAL CHEMIC Financial Update...

HIKAL CHEMIC net profit fell 26.1% YoY to Rs 51 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 69 million a year ago. Net sales rose 4.8% to Rs 4,068 million during the period as against Rs 3,880 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HIKAL CHEMIC reported 51.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 784 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,605 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 4.1% to Rs 20,230 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HIKAL CHEMIC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 57.2.
