CG Power & Industrial Plunges 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.7%

CG Power & Industrial share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 703.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,523.6 (down 2.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Forge (down 4.9%) and SKF India (down 3.2%).

V GUARD IND. (up 3.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 407.5 to Rs 703.1, registering a gain of Rs 295.6 (up 72.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,869.5 to 71,523.6, registering a gain of 63.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 181.2%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 136.3%) and Bharat Electronics (up 125.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,456.2 (down 1.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 4.2%) and JSW Steel (down 3.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,271.4 (down 1.8%). Tata Motors and Hindalco are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,459.3 to 79,456.2, registering a gain of 12,996.8 points (up 19.6%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit grew 22.4% YoY to Rs 2,412 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,971 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.9% to Rs 22,275 million during the period as against Rs 18,740 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 117.4.
