IRB Infra Plunges 6%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.2%

IRB Infra share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 66.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,578.3 (up 1.2%).

MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 3.3%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 1.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, IRB Infra has moved up from Rs 28.6 to Rs 66.1, registering a gain of Rs 37.4 (up 130.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,051.3 to 8,578.3, registering a gain of 111.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 280.2%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 256.0%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 143.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,689.1 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 2.3%) and Maruti Suzuki (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,333.5 (up 0.3%). ONGC and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,143.0 to 76,689.1, registering a gain of 13,546.1 points (up 21.5%).

IRB Infra Financial Update...

IRB Infra net profit grew 94.2% YoY to Rs 3,242 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,669 million a year ago. Net sales rose 27.2% to Rs 20,612 million during the period as against Rs 16,200 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, IRB Infra reported 99.2% increase in net profit to Rs 7,200 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,614 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 10.3% to Rs 64,016 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of IRB Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 43.3.
