HPL ELECTRIC & POWER share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 621.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,756.2 (down 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (up 2.1%) and Finolex Cables (up 0.1%).

Graphite India (down 2.7%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 2.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER has moved up from Rs 201.8 to Rs 621.0, registering a gain of Rs 419.2 (up 207.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 44,045.9 to 73,756.2, registering a gain of 67.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 195.3%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 138.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 134.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,054.5 (down 1.0%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 3.9%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,803.7 (down 0.8%). Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,054.5, registering a gain of 14,526.9 points (up 21.8%).

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER Financial Update...

HPL ELECTRIC & POWER net profit grew 145.5% YoY to Rs 170 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 69 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.5% to Rs 3,929 million during the period as against Rs 3,207 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, HPL ELECTRIC & POWER reported 287.6% increase in net profit to Rs 302 million compared to net profit of Rs 78 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 24.5% to Rs 12,622 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HPL ELECTRIC & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 74.3.
