Omaxe Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.0%

Omaxe share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 152.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,575.2 .

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Phoenix Mill (down 2.0%) and Sobha (down 1.8%).

OBEROI REALTY (up 2.1%) and Godrej Properties (up 1.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Omaxe has moved up from Rs 47.1 to Rs 152.2, registering a gain of Rs 105.1 (up 222.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,536.1 to 8,575.2, registering a gain of 89.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 209.1%), Sobha (up 198.3%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 113.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,663.5 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (up 2.6%) and NTPC (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,924.5 (up 0.3%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and Asian Paints are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,663.5, registering a gain of 15,135.8 points (up 22.8%).

Omaxe Financial Update...

Omaxe net profit fell 37.7% YoY to Rs -1,437 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,044 million a year ago. Net sales rose 85.0% to Rs 5,356 million during the period as against Rs 2,895 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Omaxe reported 117.2% decrease in net profit to Rs -3,511 million compared to net loss of Rs 1,617 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 25.2% to Rs 7,733 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Omaxe, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -6.9.
