Aptech Gains 6%; BSE IT Index Up 0.1%

Aptech share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 234.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 41,752.4 (up 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are TANLA SOLUTIONS (up 2.9%) and INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 2.4%).

INDIAMART INTERMESH (down 6.1%) and Birlasoft (down 2.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Aptech has moved down from Rs 338.5 to Rs 234.2, registering a loss of Rs 104.3 (down 30.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved up from 30,276.6 to 41,752.4, registering a gain of 37.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were Oracle Financial Services (up 184.2%), INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 107.3%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 104.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,664.1 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (up 2.6%) and JSW Steel (up 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,938.7 (up 0.3%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and Asian Paints are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,664.1, registering a gain of 15,136.4 points (up 22.8%).

Aptech Financial Update...

Aptech net profit fell 91.7% YoY to Rs 28 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 334 million a year ago. Net sales declined 41.7% to Rs 1,041 million during the period as against Rs 1,785 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Aptech reported 36.9% increase in net profit to Rs 677 million compared to net profit of Rs 494 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 102.1% to Rs 4,569 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Aptech, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 46.8.
