SKIPPER Gains 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.1%

SKIPPER share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 428.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 75,379.7 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Honeywell Automation (up 3.9%) and GMR Infra (up 2.6%).

Finolex Cables (down 2.4%) and GRINDWELL NORTON (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SKIPPER has moved up from Rs 178.0 to Rs 428.7, registering a gain of Rs 250.7 (up 140.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 44,045.9 to 75,379.7, registering a gain of 71.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 202.9%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 150.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 142.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,732.1 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (up 2.7%) and JSW Steel (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,937.8 (up 0.3%). Asian Paints and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,732.1, registering a gain of 15,204.4 points (up 22.9%).

SKIPPER Financial Update...

SKIPPER net profit grew 125.3% YoY to Rs 316 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 140 million a year ago. Net sales rose 96.9% to Rs 10,917 million during the period as against Rs 5,546 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SKIPPER reported 41.4% increase in net profit to Rs 356 million compared to net profit of Rs 251 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 16.0% to Rs 19,803 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SKIPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 52.5.
