Pfizer share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 5,549.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 40,152.3 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 5.3%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 4.3%).

ALEMBIC PHARMA (down 5.0%) and Torrent Pharma (down 2.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Pfizer has moved up from Rs 3,849.8 to Rs 5,549.8, registering a gain of Rs 1,700.1 (up 44.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 26,979.9 to 40,152.3, registering a gain of 48.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 101.2%), Lupin (up 97.2%) and Cadila Healthcare (up 96.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,411.0 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 3.4%) and NTPC (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Axis Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,840.9 . Tata Motors and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,707.2 to 81,411.0, registering a gain of 14,703.8 points (up 22.0%).

Pfizer Financial Update...

Pfizer net profit grew 61.1% YoY to Rs 1,507 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 935 million a year ago. Net sales rose 5.9% to Rs 5,629 million during the period as against Rs 5,314 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Pfizer reported 1.9% increase in net profit to Rs 6,239 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,126 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.1% to Rs 24,248 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Pfizer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 41.7.
