Wockhardt share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,044.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 44,461.1 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are POLY MEDICURE (up 5.6%) and HIKAL CHEMIC (up 3.0%).

ALEMBIC PHARMA (down 3.0%) and DR. LAL PATHLABS (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Wockhardt has moved up from Rs 230.7 to Rs 1,044.7, registering a gain of Rs 814.0 (up 352.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 28,004.5 to 44,461.1, registering a gain of 58.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 174.4%), Glenmark Pharma (up 128.0%) and SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 112.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,820.0 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 1.8%) and HDFC Bank (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,088.6 (up 0.5%). Wipro and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,079.4 to 81,820.0, registering a gain of 15,740.7 points (up 23.8%).

Wockhardt Financial Update...

Wockhardt net profit grew 88.2% YoY to Rs -160 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,360 million a year ago. Net sales rose 14.8% to Rs 7,390 million during the period as against Rs 6,440 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Wockhardt reported 24.0% increase in net profit to Rs -4,720 million compared to net loss of Rs 6,210 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.5% to Rs 27,980 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Wockhardt, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -45.5.
