Welspun Projects Gains 4%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.5%

Welspun Projects share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 476.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,071.8 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (up 1.1%) and SUNTECK REALTY (up 0.9%).

Brigade Enterprises (down 0.5%) is among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Welspun Projects has moved up from Rs 333.9 to Rs 476.5, registering a gain of Rs 142.6 (up 42.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 5,493.3 to 8,071.8, registering a gain of 46.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 91.0%), Sobha (up 90.5%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 67.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,329.3 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Infosys (up 1.6%) and Bharti Airtel (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,310.4 (up 0.4%). Infosys and Bharat Electronics are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.2 to 80,329.3, registering a gain of 14,306.1 points (up 21.7%).

Welspun Projects Financial Update...

Welspun Projects net profit grew 1.4% YoY to Rs 732 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 722 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.1% to Rs 7,885 million during the period as against Rs 6,457 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Welspun Projects reported 49.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 3,488 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,844 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 4.1% to Rs 28,723 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Welspun Projects, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.7.
