WPIL. share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 519.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 68,571.8 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are L&T (up 4.8%) and Finolex Cables (up 4.6%).

AIA Engineering (down 2.8%) and Bharat Electronics (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, WPIL. has moved up from Rs 319.7 to Rs 519.0, registering a gain of Rs 199.3 (up 62.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 45,914.5 to 68,571.8, registering a gain of 49.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 129.6%), Bharat Electronics (up 115.3%) and Siemens (up 101.8%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tech Mahindra (down 1.9%) and Infosys (down 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,293.5 (down 0.2%). Tech Mahindra and Infosys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,112.7 to 79,820.3, registering a gain of 15,707.7 points (up 24.5%).

WPIL. Financial Update...

WPIL. net profit grew 70.6% YoY to Rs 687 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 403 million a year ago. Net sales rose 54.0% to Rs 4,909 million during the period as against Rs 3,187 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, WPIL. reported 8.5% increase in net profit to Rs 1,930 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,779 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 16,644 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WPIL., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.9.
