WALCHANDNAGAR share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 258.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,044.9 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (up 3.3%) and L&T (up 2.7%).

Thermax (down 2.2%) and GMR Infra (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, WALCHANDNAGAR has moved up from Rs 79.9 to Rs 258.8, registering a gain of Rs 178.9 (up 223.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,035.1 to 73,044.9, registering a gain of 82.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 248.7%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 186.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 153.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 2.4%) and Bharti Airtel (down 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,117.8 (down 0.1%). Shriram Transport and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,915.4 to 79,441.5, registering a gain of 15,526.0 points (up 24.3%).

WALCHANDNAGAR Financial Update...

WALCHANDNAGAR net profit fell 106.4% YoY to Rs -36 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 564 million a year ago. Net sales declined 18.5% to Rs 914 million during the period as against Rs 1,121 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, WALCHANDNAGAR reported 151.4% increase in net profit to Rs 196 million compared to net loss of Rs 381 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 7.7% to Rs 3,221 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WALCHANDNAGAR, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -34.3.
