Voltas share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 1,501.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 58,542.7 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are Bajaj Electricals (up 0.9%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.4%).

WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (down 1.5%) and ORIENT ELECTRIC (down 1.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Voltas has moved up from Rs 817.7 to Rs 1,501.6, registering a gain of Rs 683.9 (up 83.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,607.3 to 58,542.7, registering a gain of 37.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 142.1%), Blue Star (up 117.2%) and Voltas (up 83.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,467.9 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 2.8%) and Power Grid Corp. (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,268.7 (down 0.4%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,846.5 to 79,467.9, registering a gain of 13,621.4 points (up 20.7%).

Voltas Financial Update...

Voltas net profit fell 13.1% YoY to Rs 1,490 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,714 million a year ago. Net sales rose 42.1% to Rs 42,029 million during the period as against Rs 29,568 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Voltas reported 82.1% increase in net profit to Rs 2,481 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,362 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 31.4% to Rs 124,812 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Voltas, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 128.5.
