VA TECH WABAG share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,274.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,656.4 .

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are AIA Engineering (down 2.7%) and Lakshmi Machine (down 2.4%).

Thermax (up 6.3%) and ABB (up 3.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, VA TECH WABAG has moved up from Rs 485.9 to Rs 1,274.7, registering a gain of Rs 788.8 (up 162.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,563.3 to 72,656.4, registering a gain of 83.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 255.4%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 185.2%) and Bharat Electronics (up 150.3%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,245.0 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 5.3%) and NTPC (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,036.1 (up 0.7%). Ultratech Cement and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 79,245.0, registering a gain of 16,275.0 points (up 25.8%).

VA TECH WABAG Financial Update...

VA TECH WABAG net profit grew 167.1% YoY to Rs 776 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,157 million a year ago. Net sales rose 0.8% to Rs 9,342 million during the period as against Rs 9,269 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, VA TECH WABAG reported 91.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 109 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,321 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 0.6% to Rs 29,605 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VA TECH WABAG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 30.5.
