Unichem Lab Gains 6%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.7%

Unichem Lab share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 610.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 41,131.4 (up 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are ERIS LIFESCIENCES (up 3.5%) and ALKEM LABORATORIES (up 3.5%).

CAPLIN POINT (down 3.5%) and FDC (down 2.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Unichem Lab has moved up from Rs 401.4 to Rs 610.0, registering a gain of Rs 208.6 (up 52.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 28,300.0 to 41,131.4, registering a gain of 45.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 116.2%), GSK Pharma (up 107.4%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 105.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,222.0 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 2.4%) and Infosys (down 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,190.3 (down 0.4%). LTIMINDTREE and Asian Paints are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,222.0, registering a gain of 13,268.5 points (up 20.1%).

Unichem Lab Financial Update...

Unichem Lab net profit fell 192.1% YoY to Rs -1,293 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 443 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.4% to Rs 4,317 million during the period as against Rs 4,021 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Unichem Lab reported 65.2% increase in net profit to Rs -705 million compared to net loss of Rs 2,022 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 26.9% to Rs 17,049 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Unichem Lab, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -60.9.
