UCO Bank Gains 6%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 0.8%

UCO Bank share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 59.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX index is at 59,093.5 (up 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE BANKEX index today are Indusind Bank (up 2.3%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.7%).

IDFC FIRST BANK (down 1.1%) and AU SMALL FINANCE BANK (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, UCO Bank has moved up from Rs 28.6 to Rs 59.3, registering a gain of Rs 30.6 (up 107.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX index has moved up from 51,646.9 to 59,093.5, registering a gain of 14.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX index stocks during this same period were Federal Bank (up 50.8%), SBI (up 42.8%) and Bank of Baroda (up 29.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,732.8 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (up 2.3%) and NTPC (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,932.1 (up 0.4%). NTPC and IOC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,355.7 to 81,732.8, registering a gain of 15,377.1 points (up 23.2%).

UCO Bank Financial Update...

UCO Bank net profit grew 146.5% YoY to Rs 5,510 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,235 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.3% to Rs 60,240 million during the period as against Rs 52,239 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, UCO Bank reported 8.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 16,716 million compared to net profit of Rs 18,263 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 23.8% to Rs 218,543 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of UCO Bank, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 35.8.
