Thermax share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4,981.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,058.2 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 7.3%) and Graphite India (up 3.3%).

Honeywell Automation (down 1.5%) and Lakshmi Machine (down 1.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Thermax has moved up from Rs 2,829.0 to Rs 4,981.4, registering a gain of Rs 2,152.4 (up 76.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 46,983.6 to 73,058.2, registering a gain of 55.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 133.9%), Bharat Electronics (up 117.2%) and BHEL (up 114.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 83,024.9 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are JSW Steel (up 2.1%) and NTPC (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,401.0 (up 0.2%). JSW Steel and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,221.1 to 83,024.9, registering a gain of 15,803.8 points (up 23.5%).

Thermax Financial Update...

Thermax net profit grew 82.0% YoY to Rs 1,098 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 603 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.0% to Rs 21,844 million during the period as against Rs 19,330 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Thermax reported 42.7% increase in net profit to Rs 6,432 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,507 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.2% to Rs 93,235 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Thermax, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 85.6.
