Thermax Gains 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.6%

Thermax share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 5,400.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 66,142.3 (down 2.6%).

BHEL (down 4.7%) and Finolex Cables (down 4.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Thermax has moved up from Rs 2,918.9 to Rs 5,400.9, registering a gain of Rs 2,482.0 (up 85.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 46,119.3 to 66,142.3, registering a gain of 43.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 124.9%), Bharat Electronics (up 98.3%) and Siemens (up 97.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,344.7 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (down 19.2%) and M&M (down 4.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Indusind Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,101.5 (down 1.2%). Indusind Bank and M&M are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 79,344.7, registering a gain of 14,772.8 points (up 22.9%).

Thermax Financial Update...

Thermax net profit grew 82.0% YoY to Rs 1,098 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 603 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.0% to Rs 21,844 million during the period as against Rs 19,330 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Thermax reported 42.7% increase in net profit to Rs 6,432 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,507 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.2% to Rs 93,235 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Thermax, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 92.8.
