TRF Gains 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.3%

TRF share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 462.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 68,489.6 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 0.3%) and Bharat Forge (up 0.3%).

AIA Engineering (down 3.1%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 2.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, TRF has moved up from Rs 230.8 to Rs 462.7, registering a gain of Rs 232.0 (up 100.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 46,119.3 to 68,489.6, registering a gain of 48.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 131.5%), Siemens (up 112.1%) and ABB (up 108.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,921.1 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are JSW Steel (down 1.4%) and Power Grid Corp. (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,378.2 (down 0.4%). Hindustan Unilever and Shriram Transport are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 79,921.1, registering a gain of 15,349.3 points (up 23.8%).

TRF Financial Update...

TRF net profit fell 34.7% YoY to Rs 50 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 76 million a year ago. Net sales rose 10.9% to Rs 376 million during the period as against Rs 339 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, TRF reported 54.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 396 million compared to net profit of Rs 875 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 21.0% to Rs 1,400 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TRF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.5.
