TIMEX GROUP Plunges 13%; BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index Down 0.5%

TIMEX GROUP share price has plunged 13% and is presently trading at Rs 150.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 60,618.3 (down 0.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are ORIENT ELECTRIC (down 4.1%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (down 3.3%).

Bajaj Electricals (up 1.5%) and CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (up 0.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TIMEX GROUP has moved down from Rs 154.2 to Rs 150.8, registering a loss of Rs 3.4 (down 2.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,752.5 to 60,618.3, registering a gain of 41.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 183.4%), Blue Star (up 121.9%) and Voltas (up 96.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,826.0 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.1%) and NTPC (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,990.6 (up 0.2%). Coal India and Power Grid Corp. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,826.0, registering a gain of 15,298.4 points (up 23.0%).

TIMEX GROUP Financial Update...

TIMEX GROUP net profit fell 42.8% YoY to Rs 24 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 43 million a year ago. Net sales rose 2.2% to Rs 1,087 million during the period as against Rs 1,063 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, TIMEX GROUP reported 1344.7% increase in net profit to Rs 465 million compared to net profit of Rs 32 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 45.0% to Rs 3,835 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TIMEX GROUP, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 80.0.
