TEXMACO RAIL Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.7%

TEXMACO RAIL share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 287.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 75,685.1 (up 0.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (up 5.3%) and Carborundum Universal (up 4.8%).

AIA Engineering (down 1.3%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 1.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, TEXMACO RAIL has moved up from Rs 75.8 to Rs 287.7, registering a gain of Rs 211.9 (up 279.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,532.4 to 75,685.1, registering a gain of 86.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 269.0%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 202.1%) and Bharat Electronics (up 172.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,855.2 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (down 4.1%) and Asian Paints (down 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,276.6 (down 0.2%). Titan and Divis Laboratories are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,479.1 to 79,855.2, registering a gain of 14,376.1 points (up 22.0%).

TEXMACO RAIL Financial Update...

TEXMACO RAIL net profit grew 178.6% YoY to Rs 417 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 150 million a year ago. Net sales rose 37.0% to Rs 11,446 million during the period as against Rs 8,353 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, TEXMACO RAIL reported 5.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 115 million compared to net profit of Rs 122 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 38.3% to Rs 22,433 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TEXMACO RAIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 119.5.
