TD POWER Plunges 4%; BSE POWER Index Down 0.0%

TD POWER share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 399.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,091.3 .

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 2.5%) and Tata Power (down 2.4%).

Thermax (up 1.6%) and TORRENT POWER (up 0.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TD POWER has moved up from Rs 273.3 to Rs 399.8, registering a gain of Rs 126.5 (up 46.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,776.1 to 8,091.3, registering a gain of 69.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 136.6%), BHEL (up 85.8%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 81.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,606.7 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 5.8%) and M&M (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,951.1 (down 0.4%). Tata Motors and ONGC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,127.1 to 81,606.7, registering a gain of 14,479.6 points (up 21.6%).

TD POWER Financial Update...

TD POWER net profit grew 32.6% YoY to Rs 353 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 267 million a year ago. Net sales rose 24.3% to Rs 2,738 million during the period as against Rs 2,203 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, TD POWER reported 22.2% increase in net profit to Rs 1,183 million compared to net profit of Rs 968 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 14.7% to Rs 10,005 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TD POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 49.1.
