TARC Plunges 6%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.2%

TARC share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 211.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,698.5 (down 1.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are INDIABULLS REAL EST (down 4.9%) and Phoenix Mill (down 3.3%).

Brigade Enterprises (up 1.8%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TARC has moved up from Rs 64.5 to Rs 211.8, registering a gain of Rs 147.3 (up 228.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,216.3 to 8,698.5, registering a gain of 106.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 262.8%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 199.8%) and Phoenix Mill (up 147.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,618.3 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 6.6%) and HCl Tech. (down 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,217.1 (down 0.9%). M&M and HCl Tech. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 79,618.3, registering a gain of 14,274.2 points (up 21.8%).

TARC Financial Update...

TARC net profit fell 3490.2% YoY to Rs -517 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 15 million a year ago. Net sales declined 93.0% to Rs 95 million during the period as against Rs 1,350 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, TARC reported 108.8% increase in net profit to Rs 204 million compared to net loss of Rs 2,327 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 47.1% to Rs 3,687 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TARC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -81.1.
