TARC Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.4%

TARC share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 200.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,522.7 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are OBEROI REALTY (up 4.1%) and DLF (up 2.1%).

Phoenix Mill (down 6.0%) and Sobha (down 2.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, TARC has moved up from Rs 71.4 to Rs 200.8, registering a gain of Rs 129.4 (up 181.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,281.2 to 8,522.7, registering a gain of 99.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 229.9%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 219.5%) and Phoenix Mill (up 125.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,506.6 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Reliance Ind. (down 3.4%) and Kotak Bank (down 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,515.9 (down 0.1%). Wipro and Reliance Ind. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,795.1 to 80,506.6, registering a gain of 13,711.5 points (up 20.5%).

TARC Financial Update...

TARC net profit fell 3490.2% YoY to Rs -517 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 15 million a year ago. Net sales declined 93.0% to Rs 95 million during the period as against Rs 1,350 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, TARC reported 108.8% increase in net profit to Rs 204 million compared to net loss of Rs 2,327 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 47.1% to Rs 3,687 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TARC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -76.9.
