Symphony share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,529.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 61,451.0 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (down 2.0%) and CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (down 0.9%).

DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 3.6%) and VAIBHAV GEMS (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Symphony has moved up from Rs 847.1 to Rs 1,529.7, registering a gain of Rs 682.7 (up 80.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 44,503.1 to 61,451.0, registering a gain of 38.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 171.0%), Voltas (up 115.1%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 110.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,913.5 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 4.4%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,292.5 (down 0.2%). Tata Motors and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,913.5, registering a gain of 15,864.4 points (up 24.8%).

Symphony Financial Update...

Symphony net profit grew 266.7% YoY to Rs 880 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 240 million a year ago. Net sales rose 75.8% to Rs 5,310 million during the period as against Rs 3,020 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Symphony reported 27.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1,481 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,159 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 2.7% to Rs 11,561 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Symphony, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 49.6.
