Siemens Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 2.1%

Siemens share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 7,404.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,088.2 (up 2.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are TIMKEN INDIA (up 5.8%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 4.7%).

ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 1.4%) and Thermax (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Siemens has moved up from Rs 3,656.0 to Rs 7,404.0, registering a gain of Rs 3,748.1 (up 102.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,203.6 to 72,088.2, registering a gain of 83.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 255.7%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 177.8%) and Bharat Electronics (up 154.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,810.9 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 3.1%) and Titan (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,399.4 (up 0.3%). Shriram Transport and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,724.7 to 76,810.9, registering a gain of 14,086.2 points (up 22.5%).

Siemens Financial Update...

Siemens net profit grew 70.2% YoY to Rs 8,028 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,718 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.4% to Rs 57,499 million during the period as against Rs 48,578 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended September 2023, Siemens reported 55.5% increase in net profit to Rs 19,619 million compared to net profit of Rs 12,619 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 21.2% to Rs 195,538 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Siemens, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 112.9.
