STEEL STRIPS & TU share price has zoomed 9% and is presently trading at Rs 35.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,587.3 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (up 1.0%) and Vedanta (up 1.0%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 1.5%) and APOLLO TUBES (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, STEEL STRIPS & TU has moved up from Rs 19.1 to Rs 35.5, registering a gain of Rs 16.4 (up 85.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,248.5 to 31,587.3, registering a gain of 48.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Coal India (up 115.4%), NMDC (up 107.4%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 96.6%).

The BSE Sensex is at 80,402.7 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 3.3%) and Reliance Ind. (down 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,487.8 (down 0.2%). Wipro and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,795.1 to 80,402.7, registering a gain of 13,607.6 points (up 20.4%).

STEEL STRIPS & TU Financial Update...

STEEL STRIPS & TU net profit grew 9.5% YoY to Rs -3 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 3 million a year ago. Net sales rose 20.6% to Rs 3 million during the period as against Rs 3 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, STEEL STRIPS & TU reported 11.4% increase in net profit to Rs -14 million compared to net loss of Rs 15 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 0.4% to Rs 11 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of STEEL STRIPS & TU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -23.1.
