SMS PHARMA share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 250.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 38,607.0 (up 1.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are ALEMBIC PHARMA (up 6.8%) and POLY MEDICURE (up 2.7%).

Jubilant Pharmova (down 2.4%) and ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SMS PHARMA has moved up from Rs 112.0 to Rs 250.5, registering a gain of Rs 138.4 (up 123.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 26,342.4 to 38,607.0, registering a gain of 46.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Glenmark Pharma (up 96.4%), Lupin (up 95.4%) and POLY MEDICURE (up 92.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,746.0 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.7%) and HDFC Bank (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,572.3 (up 0.2%). BPCL and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,795.1 to 80,746.0, registering a gain of 13,950.9 points (up 20.9%).

SMS PHARMA Financial Update...

SMS PHARMA net profit grew 99.0% YoY to Rs 161 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 81 million a year ago. Net sales rose 64.5% to Rs 2,458 million during the period as against Rs 1,494 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SMS PHARMA reported 94.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 39 million compared to net profit of Rs 679 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 1.2% to Rs 4,914 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SMS PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 43.1.
