SML ISUZU Plunges 4%; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.3%

SML ISUZU share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,942.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 57,723.7 (up 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO index today are Hero Motocorp (down 1.2%) and M&M (down 0.7%).

Balkrishna Ind (up 3.5%) and Cummins India (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SML ISUZU has moved up from Rs 1,229.0 to Rs 1,942.9, registering a gain of Rs 714.0 (up 58.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 36,117.7 to 57,723.7, registering a gain of 59.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were Bajaj Auto (up 135.7%), Cummins India (up 114.7%) and Hero Motocorp (up 93.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,939.0 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.3%) and Bharti Airtel (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,051.3 (up 0.5%). Divis Laboratories and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,880.5 to 81,939.0, registering a gain of 16,058.5 points (up 24.4%).

SML ISUZU Financial Update...

SML ISUZU net profit grew 45.9% YoY to Rs 464 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 318 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.1% to Rs 7,461 million during the period as against Rs 6,316 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, SML ISUZU reported 443.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,079 million compared to net profit of Rs 198 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 20.6% to Rs 21,959 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SML ISUZU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.0.
