SML ISUZU Plunges 12%; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.3%

SML ISUZU share price has plunged 12% and is presently trading at Rs 1,472.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 54,263.8 (up 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO index today are TUBE INVESTMENTS OF INDIA (down 1.2%) and TVS Motors (down 0.2%).

Eicher Motor (up 1.1%) and M&M (up 0.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SML ISUZU has moved up from Rs 1,263.0 to Rs 1,472.4, registering a gain of Rs 209.4 (up 16.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 36,901.1 to 54,263.8, registering a gain of 47.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were Motherson Sumi (up 106.4%), Cummins India (up 98.9%) and Bajaj Auto (up 90.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,703.8 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 2.6%) and NTPC (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,249.7 (up 0.3%). Shriram Transport and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,703.8, registering a gain of 15,654.7 points (up 24.4%).

SML ISUZU Financial Update...

SML ISUZU net profit grew 45.9% YoY to Rs 464 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 318 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.1% to Rs 7,461 million during the period as against Rs 6,316 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, SML ISUZU reported 443.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,079 million compared to net profit of Rs 198 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 20.6% to Rs 21,959 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SML ISUZU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.4.
