SML ISUZU Gains 6%; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.5%

SML ISUZU share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 2,236.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 60,205.9 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE AUTO index today are TVS Motors (up 1.9%) and Ashok Leyland (up 1.8%).

TUBE INVESTMENTS OF INDIA (down 1.3%) and Tata Motors (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SML ISUZU has moved up from Rs 1,083.1 to Rs 2,236.5, registering a gain of Rs 1,153.4 (up 106.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 36,017.4 to 60,205.9, registering a gain of 67.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were Motherson Sumi (up 100.6%), M&M (up 98.8%) and Bajaj Auto (up 96.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,664.1 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (up 2.6%) and JSW Steel (up 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,938.7 (up 0.3%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and Asian Paints are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,664.1, registering a gain of 15,136.4 points (up 22.8%).

SML ISUZU Financial Update...

SML ISUZU net profit grew 95.3% YoY to Rs 523 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 268 million a year ago. Net sales rose 16.5% to Rs 6,796 million during the period as against Rs 5,832 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SML ISUZU reported 119.9% increase in net profit to Rs 198 million compared to net loss of Rs 998 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 97.1% to Rs 18,216 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SML ISUZU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 30.0.
