SML ISUZU Gains 6%; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.2%

SML ISUZU share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,839.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO index is at 53,839.4 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE AUTO index today are Maruti Suzuki (up 1.3%) and Cummins India (up 0.8%).

TUBE INVESTMENTS OF INDIA (down 1.2%) and Balkrishna Ind (down 1.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SML ISUZU has moved up from Rs 1,393.5 to Rs 1,839.4, registering a gain of Rs 446.0 (up 32.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO index has moved up from 36,383.8 to 53,839.4, registering a gain of 48.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO index stocks during this same period were Cummins India (up 108.9%), Motherson Sumi (up 104.4%) and Bajaj Auto (up 87.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,126.5 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 1.8%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,394.8 (down 0.3%). Cipla and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,112.7 to 80,126.5, registering a gain of 16,013.8 points (up 25.0%).

SML ISUZU Financial Update...

SML ISUZU net profit grew 45.9% YoY to Rs 464 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 318 million a year ago. Net sales rose 18.1% to Rs 7,461 million during the period as against Rs 6,316 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, SML ISUZU reported 443.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,079 million compared to net profit of Rs 198 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 20.6% to Rs 21,959 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SML ISUZU, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.7.
